Quality Engineer

Responsible for:
Coordinates activities of Quality Technicians / Auditors as needed.
Train / mentor subordinate Quality Personnel as needed
Responsible for customer interfacing on quality issues for assigned responsibilities.
Responsible for supplier interfacing on quality issues for assigned responsibilities including APQP / PPAP.
Responsible for sample submissions for new product or engineering changes.
Maintain control plans, PFMEAs inspection and gage instructions and other assigned quality plan documentation
Lead problem solving activities for internal and external concerns relating to assigned responsibilities.
Maintain Advanced Quality Planning (APQP) documentation for assigned programs
Develop, implement and maintain data collection and metric systems to ensure effectiveness of quality systems.
Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
Any additional reasonable request deemed necessary by Management. Has the authority to approve sample submission documentation.
Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to product, process and quality systems.
Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process or quality system
Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through appropriate channels and verify implementation.
Control further processing and delivery of nonconforming product until the deficiency is corrected.
Grupo Antolin Quality Systems including Test Tool Management, QIM Management, NCR, SAP as applicable.

Education Requirements:
Minimum four (4) year degree or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer Certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience. TSI Certification preferred
Additional Experience, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
At least 3 years in automotive manufacturing environment
Minimum of 1 year experience in supplier & customer related quality engineering role.
Minimum of 1 year experience in APQP on new products in automotive industry.
Core AIAG Quality Training (PPAP, MSA, Control Planning, FMEA, SPC)
Demonstrate competency in metrology, blueprint reading, statistical techniques and color/appearance measurement.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Basic computer work, standing and sitting in office and manufacturing plant environment, may require material lifting and movement manually.
Travel:
Approximately 35% and is subject to change based upon customer needs
Domestic Travel within the US: 30%
International Travel: Up to 5%Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
