This role is perfect for someone who has a deep understanding of PVC Compounding, technical data sheets, ASTM, ISO, JIS, UL/NSF, color correction, R&D, elastomers, polymer science, and chemistry.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastic compounding, with a focus on product quality.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage R&D projects related to PVC Compounding, ensuring that they meet the company's financial objectives and standards.
Oversee the development of technical data sheets and ensure they comply with ASTM, ISO, JIS, and UL/NSF standards.
Collaborate with the product development team to ensure product quality and consistency.
Conduct color correction processes and procedures, ensuring all products meet the required standards.
Drive innovation and improvement in the R&D department, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of elastomers and polymer science, applying this knowledge to improve our products and processes.
Collaborate with the chemistry team to ensure the integration of the latest advancements and trends into our product development process.
Manage and mentor a team of junior R&D associates, fostering an environment of learning and development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or a related field.
A minimum of 3-5 years of related experience.
1-2 years management experience.
Proven experience with PVC Compounding, product quality, plastic compounding, and technical data sheets.
Knowledge of ASTM, ISO, JIS, and UL/NSF standards.
Experience with color correction processes and procedures.
Strong background in R&D, elastomers, and polymer science.
Solid understanding of chemistry and its application in product development.
Excellent leadership and management skills, with a proven track record of leading successful teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solution-oriented mindset.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
