IT Manager

I. General
Summary: Responsible for managing the Plant IT group and accomplishing company goals and targets in accordance with all company policies. Coordinate the activities of Team Members, consultants, and other personnel while maintaining and enhancing team morale and productivity. Provide, coordinate and support the IT direction for computer hardware and software, communications, and various IT systems for both plant and office operations. Focus to increase productivity, manage manufacturing and business operations, and enable communications internally and externally with the goal of providing good parts to customers on-time and reducing unnecessary costs.


II. Essential Job Functions:
A. Oversee the daily operations of IT by training, directing, and supervising a team of specialized team members.
B. Assemble and coordinate resources to design, implement, monitor, report on, and maintain IT projects for the plant.
C. Develop the IT annual budget, mid-year forecast and monthly P&L analysis and ad hoc financial reporting.
D. Maintain accurate project costing for major IT implementations and upgrades.
E. Collect and compile data requested from IT for upper management.
F. Review and authorize plans submitted to IT that would affect the IT environment in the plant.
G. Interface with customers to address issues, plan Kaizens and enhancements, and provide excellent service.
H. Engage team members and provide leadership to assist in achieving stated targets/goals.
I. Develop and maintain positive team member relations centered on mutual trust, dignity, respect, fairness, consistency, two-way communication, teamwork, and harmony.
J. Provide direction and motivation to team members emphasizing quality, efficiency, productivity, cost reduction, safety and health, and morale.
K. Facilitate team member development through performance evaluation, training and development plans, feedback, coaching, and cascade training.
L. Investigate abnormal conditions, gain control of the situation, notify stakeholders, and expedite processes as necessary.
M. Manage the support of production and office facilities with regards to infrastructure and systems using TBA standard systems and best practices.
1. Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software (e.g., desktop and laptop computers, printers, switches, hubs, routers, wireless access points, scanners, and other production and non-production required hardware devices and software).
2. Provide support for phone system.
3. Perform backups of servers.
4. Performing necessary updates and upgrades to servers, computers, and software when available.
5. Document standardized procedures to be used throughout the facility.
6. Prepare documentation for systems procedures and applications that can be used as an IT guide.
N. Manage the implementation and maintenance of production systems and production interfaces for manufacturing floor locations.
1. Support and deploy TPS production systems as designated by management and TBA policy.
2. Troubleshoot IT related issues to strive to achieve maximum efficiency and minimum downtime.
O. Provide support to IT end users as a secondary point of contact.
1. Provide IT help desk support for end users.
2. Provide desktop and laptop support for issues related to hardware, software (e.g., Microsoft Office), active directory, e-mail, printing, networking, etc.
3. Ensure virus protection and spyware programs are kept up to date.
4. Interact with team members to resolve any IT related issues.


III. Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field required, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Experience:
Greater than 8 years of experience providing IT support to a manufacturing environment required (preferably automotive).
Greater than 5 years of functional leadership experience as a supervisor required.
Experience in manufacturing processes and shop floor procedures.
Experience working in a Japanese style environment preferred.

Ability to work before and after regular scheduled hours to provide support and maintain efficient IT and production system operations.


Language Skills:
Ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex information in verbal and written English.
Japanese and/or Spanish would be helpful.


Computer/Software:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Windows, and other computer-based applications (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, Lotus Notes/Outlook, Internet, etc.).
Experience using Help Desk software systems.
Superior understanding of MS Active Directory, MS Window Server, phone system servers, network cabling, and SQL databases is preferred.


IV. Work Environment/Conditions:
Office: Open Office Environment, moderate noise level.
Plant: N/A
Travel: Must be willing to travel up to 30% of the time.


V. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, see, and hear. The team member must be capable of walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time. May be occasionally required to lift up to 30 pounds. Ability to sit and work on a computer for extensive periods of time is required. The ability to travel by automobile and airplane are both required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
